  • "INSWABI has allowed the opportunity to do case consultations, share resources and investigate system challenges from a truly worldwide perspective. I continue to learn so much from my fellow ABI social workers and the quality of work being undertaken is inspiring. There is something quite exciting about putting out a question to the INSWABI community and receiving the support back."

  • Social workers with a passion for acquired brain injury are, in my experience, very aware of the complexity of the condition - the impact that it has on individuals, families and communities - and recognise that our learning and need to share our learning is an ongoing and unending process. For me INSWABI serves several very useful purposes. It keeps me in touch with changes and developments in our knowledge from around the globe, it helps me find answers to specific questions and, on occasion, it has helped me find skilled professionals in other countries when I have needed them. Very importantly it also reminds me that I am not alone, there is a small but dedicated group of people who share a desire to pool our knowledge and skills to better support people with a brain injury and their families.
